What is the British Columbia BC Sales Tax?
The province of British Columbia BC is applying the Provincial Sales Tax PST system from April 1st, 2013. The British Columbia Provincial Sales Tax or PST is 7% on the purchase or lease price of goods and services, with some exceptions, like vehicles that can be taxed 7%, 10%, 12%, 15% or 20% rate.
In addition to this sales taxes, in the city of Vancouver, you will also pay a Municipal and Regional District Tax, or MRDT, of 3%.
