How to make hard boiled eggs? Instructions:
Fresh eggs work fine, but slightly older eggs are easier to peel. Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan or pot then cover the eggs with cold water.
Place the pot on the stove and bring the water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Once the water is boiling, turn the heat to low and let the eggs cook. You need to set the timer to get the boiled eggs you want.
Soft-boiled eggs are made after 6–7 minutes
Medium-boiled eggs are ready after 8–9 minutes
Hard-boiled eggs need 10 to 12 minutes of cooking

After boiling you need to cool the Eggs. When the timer goes off, transfer the eggs to a ice bath or a pot with cold water using a slotted spoon. This stops the cooking process and makes peeling easier.
Good to know: Farm-fresh eggs are more difficult to peel than older eggs.
The next step is to gently tap the eggs on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel under running water for ease.
If you’re not planning to use the eggs right away, leave them in the shells and store them in the fridge for up to seven days. Eggs need to be refrigerated within two hours after cooking, and don’t leave refrigerated cooked eggs out at room temperature for more than two hours.
