What You Need to Know About Galleria Supermarket
Whether you’ve just discovered Korean food, you’re a long-time fan of it or you’re a Korean living in Canada on the lookout for traditional ingredients and foods, the offer at Galleria Supermarket is worth a closer look.
The grocery retailer and wholesaler is located in Toronto, Ontario, and operates several stores. Its wide selection of Korean products and the regular deals it offers have turned it into a leading retailer, so here is what you need to know about the product offer and shopping at Galleria Supermarket.
Stores and Departments
The retailer operates five stores (Thornhill, York Mills, Oakville, Wellesley, and Bloor) from Monday to Saturday every week. The operating hours vary by store, with the pickup time being the same for all of them, which is from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. However, you can always shop for your various needs online, as we will see shortly.
One of the things that make Galleria Supermarket stand out is its wide variety of products. You will find meat, seafood, rice, grains, fruits, vegetables, groceries, deli, and ready meals.
However, the retailer goes beyond groceries, as it also sells lifestyle goods, such as cosmetics, household goods, health products, kitchenware, appliances, seasonal products, and pet foods and supplies. So you will find products to meet many of your daily needs.
Online Ordering
Whenever time is not on your side and you can’t afford to shop in-store, you can take advantage of the retailer’s e-shop. Both the website and the mobile app are designed in such a way as to make it easy for you to find the products you need and submit your order. The retailer accepts Debit, Visa, and MasterCard as payment methods. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices, and the following services are available:
- Home Delivery
The retailer delivers only to select areas, and if you want your order to be delivered to your door or an address within these select areas, you will have to choose the delivery option at checkout. Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email. You can check your order status through this email or by logging into your account and going to My Orders.
You will also be required to choose a delivery date before submitting your order. The order should be delivered anytime between 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm on the selected date. As far as the fee is concerned, it varies by store as it depends on how far your address is from the selected Galleria branch. It can vary from $0 to $60.
- In-Store Pickup
If you want to save time by not picking up the items yourself in-store but also money by not paying the delivery fee, then you might want to consider the store’s pickup option. Still, the service is not free, and you will have to pay a $5 fee for each pickup order. Plus, there is a $50 minimum order required. Even so, the fee is lower than the delivery fee.
Once you’ve arrived at the store on the date you’ve selected to pick up your order, make sure to let them know that you’re there by Kakao Talk, SNS, or by calling the number on their website. You will be required to show the credit card that you used to pay for the online order and a government-issued valid Photo ID. You will also have to sign on the receipt when you pick up your order.
- Returns
In case you change your mind or you’re not satisfied with the items you receive, you have 7 days from the purchase date on the receipt to return or exchange them. However, select items such as meat, fish, product, dairy, and frozen products must be returned or exchanged within 24 hours.
In order for an item to be accepted for a refund/exchange, it must be unused and in its original condition. To initiate a return/exchange, you will have to visit or call the customer service center.
- Catering
Not enough time to shop and cook? Then the supermarket’s catering services might be of interest. The menu is quite diverse and it includes but is not limited to sushi, stir-fried meat with vegetables, salads, and stir-fried rice.
In the case of some menus, the order must be placed two days in advance. Make sure to check the Catering section for the complete menu and additional information regarding this service.
Weekly Deals
Galleria Supermarket is committed to helping you cover your various daily needs but also save, hence the weekly deals available. The website features a Weekly Sales section where you will find the latest flyer. The offers typically run from Friday to Thursday and include special prices and discounts on a variety of products.
What’s more, the retailer’s membership program can help your savings add up. Applying for a membership card is pretty straightforward. Just follow the steps, and once you’ve received your card, you can start to earn points for each order you place.
For example, you get to earn 10 points for every $1 spent when you use cash or debit payments. You can then use the accumulated points to redeem various products at the Galleria Supermarket.
