Oatmeal, Cereal and Coffee Follow Closely – In second place, oatmeal or cereal earned 17.51% (299 votes), highlighting the popularity of quick and convenient breakfast options for busy mornings.
Meanwhile, coffee (with or without a pastry) came in third with 14.69% (251 votes). For many Canadians, a cup of coffee is an essential part of the morning routine, even when breakfast is kept simple.
Fresh and Healthy Choices are also Popular – Health-conscious breakfast options also performed well in the survey. Fruits received 9.02% (154 votes), while yogurt or smoothies collected 5.62% (96 votes). These lighter options appeal to Canadians looking for nutritious and easy-to-prepare breakfasts.
Pancakes, Bagels and Avocado Toast – Some breakfast favorites remain popular weekend or brunch choices. Pancakes or waffles with maple syrup earned 5.62% (96 votes), reflecting Canada’s love for maple syrup.
Bagels or breakfast sandwiches received 5.39% (92 votes), while avocado toast attracted 3.86% (66 votes).
