In 2023, a Lager poll had surveyed more than 38,000 Canadians to explore their thoughts on more than 300 companies in 30 different sectors. Lager is a Canadian-owned market research and analytics company.
Last year the top brand was Shoppers Drug Mart with a score of 75 out of 100, but this year Google came out first with a reputation score of 75, while the former leader is now on the third place with a score of 71.

Here are the top results from Leger’s 2023 Canada Reputation study:

- Sony (Reputation Score: 74)
- Shoppers Drug Mart (Reputation Score: 71)
- Samsung (Reputation Score: 71)
- Canadian Tire (Reputation Score: 70)
- YouTube (Reputation Score: 70)
- Dollarama (Reputation Score: 69)
- Home Depot Canada (Reputation Score: 69)
- Costco Wholesale Canada (Reputation Score: 67)
- Campbell (Reputation Score: 67)
Six out of the top 10 companies in 2022 remain in the top ten in 2023, including: Google, Sony, Shoppers Drug Mart, Samsung, and Canadian Tire and Campbell’s.

Costco Canada managed to climb one position, from 10 to 9 this year, while one of the biggest hits to reputation in 2023 has been to Netflix and Twitter.
