The Caesar Salad is one of the most popular salads worldwide, and one of the reasons is the fact that it is very simple to make. For a homemade Caesar salad you need to follow some simple steps.

First of all, prepare the croutons. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) (view the conversion calculator for Celsius (°C) to Fahrenheit (°F)), then cut a day-old bread, like a baguette or sourdough bread into bite-sized cubes. Toss the cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then spread them on a baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden and crispy.
You can also buy croutons from your local grocery store if you don’t have time, but keep in mind that homemade croutons are fresher and more flavorful than store-bought.
The next step is to make the dressing for your Caesar Salad.
In a bowl, whisk together:
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Then you should slowly drizzle in ½ cup olive oil, whisking continuously to emulsify, then stir in ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
If this is too much for your, go out and buy a Caesar Salad dressing from your local store or from a national supermarket chain like No Frills, Walmart Canada, Metro or Superstore.

How to make the Caesar Salad?
Chop the romaine lettuce into large pieces and place then in a large bowl, then drizzle the dressing over the lettuce and toss. Add chopped tomatoes and the homemade croutons, and sprinkle grated or shaved Parmesan cheese on top. Serve immediately for the best texture and taste.
Also, you can add grilled chicken breast to your Caesar Salad to make it a main dish. Season and grill a boneless, skinless chicken breast until fully cooked, then slice and place on top of the dressed romaine lettuce.
Shrimp lovers can add some shrimp into their salad. Sauté or grill the shrimp that was seasoned with garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Always use fresh, crisp Romaine lettuce, which is by far the best choice, but iceberg or kale can also work wonders to your salad.
